Swipe up on each app to close the apps

Check that the battery is not low

Restart the iPad

If there are network problems, restart your router
Restart browser
Quit programs that are not currently being used
Clicking the red X only closes the window, it DOES NOT quit the program
command + Q will quit the program
Check that the battery is not low
Quit all programs and restart computer
